The hotel suited our needs perfectly as it is close to main roads and a shopping area with many restaurants to choose from. The rooms were on the small side, old-looking, and had uncomfortable beds. The toilet sounded like a rocket ship, and there was a lingering cigarette smoke smell. Despite multiple requests, our reserved full-size bed was given away despite booking well in advance.
Staying at The Kensington was a mixed experience. The location was convenient, close to the University of Michigan and a mall, but the room had a disappointing view facing a brick wall. The cleanliness was questionable, with an unpleasant encounter of blood on a chair.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. While the room was equipped with helpful amenities, there were some drawbacks like a view of a wall, poor AC, and a lingering pot smell in the hallway. The service, on the other hand, was very accommodating and made up for the initial room issues. The location was perfect for our needs, being close to the campus and amenities. The dining experience was good, especially with the convenient delivery option to the room.
